...intuitive, interesting, smart, and completely authentic. But perhaps Einars best assets are
his
genuinely charming personality and his abundant sense

humor.

NEWS!

They love Jarðarförin mín (My Funeral)!

"Einar Gunn is delightful as Benedikt's only friend."

REYKJAVÍK 04/15/2020 – "Yndislegur" means delightful in English, and is no doubt the loveliest accolade I've ever received for my work.

Here's a taste,
with English subtitles.

Jarðarförin mín (My Funeral) is in the can. Starts streaming at Síminn this Easter.

At the golf range getting ready
to tee off. (It was -5ºC.)

The funeral service.

Regaling director, Kristófer Dignus, and Laddi, the star of the show,
with my wit no doubt...

Playing golf in Iceland in December is only for the hardiest of actors. And crews.

REYKJAVÍK 12/07/2019 – It only took 25 days to shoot the 6 episodes of Jarðarförin mín (My Funeral). I shot 7 of those days, all of them cool, some of them downright frigid. Yet this was one of the more rewarding and pleasant experiences in front of the camera. Big love to the star of the show,  Þórhallur "Laddi" Sigurðsson, director Kristófer Dignus, Baldvin Z and Abbý Hafliðadóttir of Glassriver, and the intrepid crew. Look forward to see the show "on the air" come Easter.

It won't be my funeral but I'll be in 5 episodes! Of 6.

NJ 08/01/2019 – Got a phone call today from Baldvin Z of Glassriver Productions in The Old Country. He wanted to know if I were free in November/December because he had a recurring role for me in a new Icelandic 6-episode series. Luckily I was. So I´ll be heading east in a couple
of months to work on Jarðarförin mín (My Funeral), starring the island's beloved Þórhallur "Laddi" Sigurðsson. I get to play his best friend.

NYC 08/21/2019 – Today
I shot a co-star role on
CBS’s FBI, in a scene
with Missy Peregrym
and ZeekoZaki. S02E04,
"An Imperfect Science",
to air this October 15.

This fall I'm finally debuting on CBS.

Missy Peregrym (Benson), me (Supervisor) and Zeeko Zaki ('OA' Zidan) after
a very satisfying shoot. The guy in the back scratching his head, is director
Jean de Segonzac.

REYKJAVÍK 07/12/2019 – I have no idea – I only
got to read my scene. This time I play the  Director
of the Central Bank of Iceland going up against the country's secretly bipolar Prime Minister. The PM is played by the inimitable Ólafur Darri Ólafssson (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, NOS4A2, True Detective, Trapped) We didn't quite agree. The series is called RÁÐHERRANN (The Minister) and will air on RÚV in the fall of 2020. Produced by Sagafilm.

What happens when a Prime Minister keeps his bipolarity secret from his constituents?

Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and me after wrapping our scene in RÁÐHERRANN (The Minister). No, he's not standing on a bunch of apple boxes...

WRAPPED ON TRAPPED!

REYKJAVÍK 01/23/2018 – Today I worked on a Guest Star role in Ófærð 2 (Trapped 2). The Icelandic hit TV series created by Hollywood director Baltasar Kormákur (Everest, Contraband, 2 Guns), starring Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (True Detective, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) and Ingvar E. Sigurðsson (Everest, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald).

I'M CAST IN SEASON 2 OF ÓFÆRÐ (TRAPPED),

THE ICELANDIC HIT TV SERIES.

NJ 09/27/2017 – Ófærð (Trapped) creator, Icelandic Hollywood director Baltasar Kormákur (Everest, 2 Guns, Contraband), saw my reel and asked me to put myself on tape for him. Long story short, now I’ll be heading to The Old Country for a late January/February 2018 shoot. You can binge on Ófærð (Trapped) Season 1 at Amazon Prime Video.

(Furthermore, the scuttlebutt has it producers for two other Icelandic TV series are interested in having me audition... Stay tuned!)

ACTING IN ICELAND!

Elín Sif Halldórsdóttir (Magnea), me (Bangsi69)
and Eyrún Björk Jakobsdóttir (Stella).

REYKJAVÍK 08/24/2017 – I had met with award-winning Icelandic writer/director Baldvin Z
(Life In A Fishbowl, Trapped, Case) at a coffee house in Kópavogur (next door to Reykjavík)
a few weeks earlier. After sipping our cappuccinos and getting to know each other for an hour or so (Baldvin's a delightful fellow), he just outright offered me a supporting role in a film he was about to shoot:
Lof mér að falla (Let me fall). That is if I wanted it... I did. And we shot my scene today, with the two leading ladies. The premiere will be in September 2018.

*Thursday 11/6/2016, 10:00PM EST.

NYC 09/08/2016 – Tonight I worked on yet another co-star role for NBC: The Blacklist. Episode 403. Not allowed to give anything away but you'll get to see it on your TV screen Thursday, October 6th, at 10:00pm EST. (I believe.) This is the third time NBC gives me the nod to be cast, the first two being The Michael J. Fox Show and The Mysteries of Laura.

NYC 01/30/2017 – Crack open a Broadway show Playbill and you'll find that every cast member of that show has been on one, if not all, of the Law & Order shows. It's like a rite of passage for New York actors. Well, now I've been inducted into that fine group with my co-star debut on Law & Order: SVU, currently in its 18th season. Look for me on NBC,
March 29th, 9:00pm. S18E14 "Net Worth".

LAW & ORDER: SVU IS NOW OFFICIALLY OFF THE BUCKET LIST.

Mariska Hargitay (Benson), me (Anthony) and Ice-T (Fin) goofing off between takes.

NJ 09/08/2016 – Because I'm young and inexperienced I entered my very first feature-length screenplay in the Austin Film Festival.

Oh, the audacity of ignorance.

And, of course, it was all for naught.

I just received a note from them saying: " ...your script advanced to the Second Round in the Drama category! It did not advance to the Semifinalist Round but, keep in mind, your placement represents a distinction only achieved by about 15% of this year’s submissions."

Really? That was the best I could do? Out of a total 9,000+ submissions.

I may as well give up... (I'm kidding.)

I KNOW, THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY ACTING... (I want to toot this horn nevertheless.)
